surprise sprinkle

mentioned the surprise sprinkle my Mom and sisters arranged for me (and Dave) but wanted to add a few photos here of the afternoon. Again, I was quite surprised. I had absolutely NO idea! They did a great job keeping it a secret... and if you know Casey, you'd know it was indeed a huge accomplishment! My girls apparently knew as well and they kept it a secret even through a grounding... oops!

A huge thanks to my Mom for all the kind words on her blog. And also my sisters for everything they did... We don't tell you nearly enough, but we love you guys. A lot.  :)

the surprise... stolen from Mom

I didn't take my camera in so this is all you get from me :)

my family and friends are too kind. we got some great goodies!
my sister, Mallory, even madeeeee mini cupcakes. of which I never tried. I'm told the frosting was great! ;)

these went immediately in my hospital bag. Sophie from Mom and sistas. homemade hat from a very good friend. Love!

A HUGE thanks again to everyone who came to the sprinkle! We are soooo thankful! :) now to continue patiently waiting for this bebe...

"full term"

I'm not nearly as excited about taking these photos as it may seem... :)

Today I am 39 weeks 4 days. Not ready. Excited. Packed. Not ready. Wait, I said that already... almost every single mom I talk to asks me or tells me "you must be ready" or "I bet it can't go any faster for you?" or some variation of the two... well, given that this is almost the end of my pregnancy years and realizing that things in life go wayyyy to fast, I'm okay with being pregnant just a little longer. Yes, I'm uncomfortable. Yes, I'm tired. Yes, I am excited to meet this adorable little hoodlum. BUT I do not for a second wish away any of this time I'm given a healthy, happy pregnancy. Sssooo I'll patiently be waiting for hoodlum numba Seven!

Last weekend my Mom and sisters threw us a surprise sprinkle. I had NO idea and was beyond surprised! They are amazing and I still can't thank them enough! We were given lots of goodies and again, we are so thankful for those who were a part of our sprinkle. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

Another huge thanks to Casey for most of the bump photos and editing :)

And another update... my appointment Friday proved to be uneventful, just as I not-so-secretly hoped. Next trip to see the doc will be Thursday and he assures me it'll be that day or Friday. A realllll count down now. Eeekkk!

pre-wigs, wings, &wine

A couple weeks ago we had our ladies wine night...themed wigs, wings, and wine. While the photos from that particular night may require approval prior to posting here, I think these are okay to include. ;) Drew was such a good sport! Casey and I had quite the time with her...
I wore this wig for wine night...
Casey wore this wig...
Casey ruined this wig by sending it through the dryer... (this is pre-dryer ruining)
matted wig after removal from the dryer...
my Dad got in on the wig action as well. hilarious!

and then thissss happened... apparently he's doing the 'Raji'...and he'll be sssooo glad I included this ;)
gosh I love him. LOL :) :)

Wigs, wings, and wine night was equally as hilarious as trying all these wigs on the kids. Possibly more of our wine night to come!

etsy Wednesday

My etsy favorites have been building up so I thought I better do a quick post and get rid of some of the saved ones. I could be on the etsy website for.ever. Addicting!

A vintage one of these rolling pins was purchased at the annual steam show flea market this year. I think my crazy neighbor was tired of me borrowing hers to make homemade pizzas so I indulged and spent the $4 or $8 for my own. :)

Had I owned this during the last couple months of my pregnancy, I may have lived in it!

This may have been added to my etsy favorites solely because of the camera collection. I have threeeee lonely cameras in my vintage collection. Sad, sad little collection...

These magnets would ROCK on my frig. And the boys would *love* them!

This definitely shows my masculine side, but I really like it.

For some reason, this reminds me of my grandpa b  :)

I don't think the crazy neighbor will miss any of her ball jars, do you? ;)

Convinced my dad needs to be making these for craft shoes. Awesome idea!
