four together

This year we're fortunate enough to have the four oldest kids in the same school together. This is the very first time their school has a kindergarten program, and I know there are a lot of families extremely excited about this. Less running for us, and I love that they're all in the same building to look out for each other a little bit. It's a small school to begin with but I like that the littlest ones are now with the "big" kids.

Peyton (12-1/2) 7th grade

Lia (10)  4th grade

Austyn (7-1/2)  2nd grade

Tayt (almost 6!)  kindergarten

They're all doing very well with their studies, and I'd say they did an excellent job with their photos this year ;) I let them pick their own background. Tayt picked his because "we live in American, Mom." :)

Also, I'm completely aware and not very excited that they're all looking very old in these photos. After posting this I'll be going to tell them to ssslllooowww down. Mom can't handle it ;)

one month young

I know I say this with each of my children, but where does the time go? Blows my mind really. Tomorrow this little gal will be 5 weeks old. FIVE WEEKS. I don't get it. They're supposed to stay little. Just a little longer... that's all I ask :) already she is starting to smile. and coo. and wanting me to hold her on my chest for hours and hours. I really cannot complain, we have another very easy going baby on our hands, and I'll gladly hold her on my chest for hours and hours :)

per Casey's request, I played around with one of my newest photography props.
Drew Meg fit perfectly.
(oops...I still call her by the wrong name occasionally) :)

random daily goodies

Our last couple weeks and weekends have been quite busy. Mostly just random things here and there but I've been way behind on blogging. And cleaning. And almost everything else... I guess that's just life. Here are a few photos off my camera. Just complete randoms. But I thought you'd enjoy... so... enjoy :)

Lia helped watch Meg during a family shoot last weekend
for whatever reason, this blows my mind... brothers... with babies. MIND BLOWN.

I watched the boys and prepared for a senior photo shoot. They were very willing to be my subjects :)
and then Nash had to do the same as Luke...

I promise I'll be back with something more interesting very soon. I have some 1 month photos of Meg that need to be posted before she turns 2 months... how is that HAPPENING!!! as I'm hearing her scream from the other room... back again another time :)

licorice and chocolate for weeksssss

And here is how the rest of our Halloween went... this post has been waiting for me to finish it. I wanted to have it done last week. I'm lazy. Period. Oh well... here goes...

The night started and ended pretty well. The only one making a fuss at the end of the night was Meg... she was beyondddd hungry. Oops!

pals posing for Casey
all the other kids were running around like crazies and here Nash sits... reading...
my view while nursing Meg at the adults getting a photo of the hooligans
the whole bunch (photo courtesy of Dave)
and then it began...
and then it was over...
I need to be better about getting photos of ALL the kids... sorry! Casey got quite a few good ones so check the rest of the kiddos out over there. Hope everyone had a safe and
Happy Halloween!

carving

This year I used Meg as an excuse and told Dave it was his year to carve pumpkins... and it worked! Luckily, I have the best husband in the world :) He carved 4 pumpkins with only minor whining and no body parts cut... impressive!

Austyn = very excited!
Peyton &Dave = very focused
Meg = very relaxed

I couldn't pick just one :)
