Meg Olivia

Meg is now a little over 2 weeks old. Friday I thought it was about time I took some "professional" photos of her :) we did our best. Babies are sometimes difficult. There is a limited amount of time! She did great, but I'd still like to try, try again. I need lots of practice and what a better way to practice than on your own amazingly beautiful, perfect little girl :)

and then Drew lost it... her gentle wasn't gentle enough and she didn't care for mom telling her that :)
and then we tried again...

Meg is doing great. Everyone is adjusting very well to a newborn in the house. We love taking turns holding her and loving on her. The older kids are still willing to hold her and keep an eye on her while I'm showering or cleaning or most anything so that's a good sign. Baby Meg fits in just right, as expected  :)

etsy Friday

While I'm not looking forward to the cold weather, these etsy items are making me feel all warm and cozy... the inevitable is upon us... snowwwwww :(

This looks extremely comfy. A little longer to go over my tush with leggings would be nice.

and now I need to learn to knit... love these!

Been searching for some tall brown boots... these are pretty nice :)

daily Smith fashion

Attempting to get back into a routine here. Taking it easy this week cause I'm pooped. I jumped right back into house chores, laundry, etc. last week and it's now time to relax :)

These two alone provide sufficient blogging material so every day should be something interesting here.
I'm sure Rowdy was telling Nash what to do here...
she may be plotting here...
Nash (3-1/2):
Shirt: gilden ninja T (received as a gift...not sure from where) kinda like this
Jeans: hand-me-down Target Cherokee similar to these

Drew (1-1/2):
Shirt: hand-me-down vintage T
Bandana: NO idea... laying around the house from an old fad...
Sneakers: new-to-Drew vintage Gap

introducing our 1wk old!

I know you've all been patiently waiting for news and most of you have probably heard the news, but here are some photos for proof :)

It all began Friday morning. An induction. I was induced with Nash as well. It amazes me how each pregnancy and delivery is different, although it shouldn't because each child is so very different. And so it began...

warning... there are a. lot. of photos!
Dave is always very helpful...  ;)

This proud dad may or may not have texted almost his entire contact list.
And I thought *I* was bad :)

introducing....
Meg Olivia
(Smith)
born Friday, October 12, 2012 at 3:23 p.m.
weighing 8 lbs 4 oz and 20 inches long

The sisters and kiddos were all waiting in our room and were able to visit in the delivery room shortly after Meg's arrival. They were beyond excited!
Drew kinda likes her too :)

I say this with each baby, but I couldn't be happier or feel more blessed. These children are really the light of my life, and I don't know what I would do without Dave and each and every one of them. Many people don't understand large families... I can't begin to explain what it does to me, but I wouldn't change a thing!

A huge thank you to all who came to visit us and new baby Meg. I lllooovvveee having visitors! and an even bigger thanks to Casey and Mom for the photos they got while I wasn't paying attention. Those are always the best photos!
