babysitter classes warranted

Often times I wonder if the oldest two are capable of watching a couple of the younger ones... just for brief moments. We're talking a quick run to the shop which is 3 houses south of here or a quick walk out to the garden... well, I'm not convinced Lia (second child) is quite ready ;) I am well aware children are incredibly speedy creatures... this is how I found Drew mere minutes after I asked Lia to watch her. Luckily, I was just doing something in the kitchen... the connecting room... but of course I had to grab the camera quick :)

Nash had to follow suit, of course.

You might be relieved to know there are 2 benches directly underneath that window so 1) Drew is not a purebred monkey and 2) there is some cushion to a fall ;) I fear that she has no fear... ugh!

etsy Sunday

Severely behind on my blogging. I really have no excuse. I've gotten back on track cleaning the house and conquered one bedroom last week... that may or may not be clean still at this point... darn boys! Regardless... thought I'd start a new post series. Not sure where this will lead, but I'm stealing the inspiration from Casey's etsy posts. ;) you can also see some more here.

I have a few vintage loves and both of these I love. I'm searching for a medium to large suitcase for photography props and I'm really liking the black one...hmm...

I also have a strange obsession for these owls. They're just so darn cute!

Maybe it's because I love writing the letter "L," but these look so simple and pretty.
Really liking!

Something about this bag. For a camera... a diaper bag... so many things. And could go with so many things.  I'm a simple gal, and this I like.

Okay, more another time :)

daily Smith fashion

Extremely behind for the month of April. We've been running and out of town every weekend. I'm very much looking forward to relaxing next weekend for a ladies wine night...yayyy!

Anyway... back in March when we had the beautiful "summer" weather, Drew was sportin' some stylish fashion. She's just so adorable!
Drew (15 months):
Shirt: hand-me-down from Lia (&Austyn)
Shorts: hand-me-down Circo from Target (not exact ones)

golden!

Casey could not have said it better... he changed everything...and all of us...for the best :)

Thinking of these kids growing up scares me almost every day. I try not to think about it very often because really, it's just a waste of time. It's the inevitable. It's amazing. And I can't say for certain I love it. I mean, come on! look at those chubby cheeks! :)

We have many more arguments to come. We may disagree more than ever. But I think he's turning in to quite the young man right before our eyes. I'm not sure I'm ready for it... we love you Peyton William!

3!

This adorable little man was born to us 3 years ago today. Tayt had some very big shoes to fill. He dominated this house as The Beast. Little did we know, Nash would over fill those shoes of Tayt's. He is quite the critter! Every day with this child is a new adventure. Just when I think we may have done almost everything, this child does something to blow my mind... you definitely keep us on our toes, Mr. Man. We love you SO much!

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY NASH MAN!

in like a lion?

March did in fact come in like a lion. Sped past. And now I'm surprised it's already April.  "in like a lion and out like a lamb" ... I'm not entirely sure of the validity behind that statement, but it definitely applied this month.

There were quite a few beautiful days that were not the usual for Wisconsin March weather, but we enjoyed them nonetheless.

someone please tell me who this young man is! seriously... be still my heart!

this is mostly what I have to work with when it comes to Lia...
she is her mother through and through ;)

true boy. not around the mud hole. crawl through it.

attitude!

I had this idea in my head that after six children, we'd have a mild, quiet one... I should have known better. This one makes herself known every day and has so much attitude.  Here she is playing on the steps which she thinks is hilarious... evil! And then seconds later she was angry about something... me taking photos or not moving herself down the steps fast enough... who knows!
