chewable

Drew received this hat as a birth gift from Dave's aunt. (She made it and it's amazing... thank you, Aunt B!) It is absolutely adorable! This child's head didn't grow quite as rapid as the rest of my children so she just started wearing this. And she loves it. And she looks completely chewable adorable in it!

This one is just for fun... almost caught a smile here.

chalkboards rule

Prior to moving in to this house, I knew chalkboards would be incorporated somewhere ... ANYwhere! While I knew this, I didn't put too much thought in to what they would be used for. And I guess there is both good and "bad" about that...

At one point there was a chart for Peyton, Lia, and Austyn to hang coats up, do homework, read, and clean their rooms... obviously that is longggg gone...

MOA + Courtney = money well spent

Almost 2 weeks ago now we went on our annual MOA (Mall of America) trip. We usually go in November but decided to change it up this year and go in March... one reason being the weather would possibly be better. Unfortunately we live in Wisconsin and a blizzard almost destroyed this trip. Thankfully! roads were plowed by the time we wanted to leave. The second reason being (and maybe this was more a personal reason) we would have taxes back and be able to spend some on ourselves... and do so I did ;)

This year we treated the kids to ALL DAY passes to the rides at the mall. They had a blast and didn't stop until almost 9:00 p.m. when the mall closed, almost 9 hours nonstop!  Needless to say, they'll be doing that again next year. Below you can see part of Dave and Tayt on a roller coaster. Dave's arm is pointing to the left in the photo.

almost as good as the rides... the pool! (very middle shot - my Dad reaching to grab Tayt on the edge of the pool)

the magnificent quiettt ride home ;)

bbbuuuuzzzzz

A couple weeks ago I got a spring itch and buzzzzzzed all the boys' hair. This was Nash's first experience with the clippers and he did very well. I had to be super fast but he sat oh-so-nice like his big brothers. He was excited to have it done, hopped right up in the chair, but his patience was short. Oh well. He looks adorable regardless. Just like the rest... man, what a handsome/cute bunch!

Nash's scowl is the best part about this photo

Peyton and Tayt thought it was hilarious to look like old men when I buzzed just the tops of their heads...
