She was looking so adorable the other day... well, every day really... but I took the opportunity to snap a few photos. She was happy as a clam the entire time, but as soon as I put the camera to my face she would scowl at me. Hilarious!

Peyton: xbox. girly friend. sleep. eat. sleep. school. order of importance ;) Lia: the most beautiful green(ish) eyes. Austyn: goof. Tayt: he liked dad's new hat too. and also looking a bit too old for my liking. Nash: he's an all-in kind of dude. worked on that drawing for probably 30+ minutes. Drew: into gum and bows lately. Meg: outtakes to come. but she totally nailed it. Will: super helpful with the kitchen makeover.
Hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday! We've had a busy weekend tearing the rest of the flooring out of the kitchen and preparing for painting cabinets! I convinced Dave to do a $500 (which is going to be more like $600 because I talked him into a new faucet and possibly sanding the floors!) makeover to the kitchen. Casey sent me the link to this one and I *love* it. So we're right in the middle of doing just that, a makeover!
Our makeover is a bit different than the blog above, but I think it's going to be great. I'm excited!
Here's my list:
* paint cabinets
* paint handles
* replace faucet
* replace outlet covers
* sand & varnish floors
* island from Dad!!!
Doesn't seem like too much... maybe ;)
the good news: we didn't find anything growing under the refrigerator or stove.
the bad news: I'm blogging right now instead of getting a head start while some of the kids are sleeping and Dave's at a meeting.
progress: so so
before/during/after photos: instead... ;) here's a video of the girls playing with Will. he's way more adorable. and clean. kinda. he thinks they're hilarious.
note: the flooring you see in this video... the flooring we left there for ohhhh 2 months just to see if we would miss it... is now gone!
check back in a few days for some progress photos :)

Nash: those blues. those teeth. this kid! Drew: truly one of a kind. Meg: beast. Will: why everything in the mouth with these two. typical.

Peyton: homework is the enemy to a Freshman. Lia: on the mend from a missed day of school. Austyn: knitting with mom. Tayt: debonair. Nash: he sleeps in. Drew: I got nothin. Meg: cheeks.for.days. Will: teeeefers!
It doesn't seem as though we've went through another year. But alas, my baby is turning one. Gulp. ONE. I'm clinging to 11 months as long as I can. Mister has been quite a ham and quite a beast lately. Sleep has been... meh. He has good moments and then bad. He has been enjoying most of the foods we eat as well as nursing strong. My guess is this will be ending soon as well. Will is mostly an easy going fella. He is very mobile. And that leads me to this video. Gosh darn kid. He's been cruising around furniture for quite some time now, I'd say at least a couple months. Not shocking, as all of my kids have been the same way. But those first steps, the best ever. And never get old. He walked away from a chair this morning to my open arms and hasn't stopped all day. Wonder if I can wear him from now until he starts dating...
